Section 55-31-403 - Period exceeding twenty-one (21)

A person engaged in the business of towing and storing motor vehicles may charge a storage fee for a period exceeding twenty-one (21) days if the last known registered owner of the motor vehicle and all lienholders of record are notified using a nationally recognized overnight delivery carrier, other than the United States postal service, requesting proof of delivery, of the intent to charge a storage fee for a period to exceed twenty-one (21) days.
