Section 55-5-124 - Treble damages

In addition to the criminal penalties prescribed by §§ 55-5-122 - 55-5-125, any person who violates § 55-5-122 is civilly liable to the owner of the motor vehicle in a sum treble the amount of the costs incurred by the owner in recovering the motor vehicle so moved.Acts 1972, ch. 573, § 3; T.C.A., § 59-525.
