Section 55-5-130 - Reporting theft of motor vehicle from bailee

Whenever a motor vehicle under a bailee's care has been stolen, the bailee shall report the theft to the appropriate law enforcement agency and to the bailor if the bailor's address is known. Thereafter, the law enforcement agency shall investigate the theft in the same manner as any other stolen motor vehicle investigation.Acts 1999, ch. 515, § 1.
