(a) The commissioner is empowered, with the consent of the governor, to appoint special deputy commissioners for the better enforcement, and to apprehend all persons found in violation, of the insurance laws of this state.(b) The special deputies shall be clothed with powers as may be delegated by the commissioner.(c) The compensation of special deputy commissioners shall be limited to one half (1/2) of any fine assessed against any person found guilty of violating any of the insurance laws of this state; provided, that the fine so assessed shall be due to the efforts of the special deputy commissioner arresting or causing the arrest of the guilty person.Acts 1919, ch. 131, § 1; Shan.
