The commissioner, with the approval of the governor, shall devise a seal, with suitable inscription, for the department, a description of which, with a certificate of approval by the governor, together with an impression of the seal, shall be filed in the office of the secretary of state, and may be renewed whenever necessary.Acts 1873, ch. 58, § 13; Shan., § 3343; mod.
