Section 56-2-1007 - Authority of commissioner

(a) In addition to authority under chapter 1, part 4 of this title, the commissioner has the authority to examine and investigate a licensee to determine whether the licensee has been or is engaged in conduct in violation of this part. Those examinations or investigations must be conducted in accordance with chapter 1, part 4 of this title.(b) If the commissioner has reason to believe that a licensee has been or is engaged in conduct in this state that violates this part, then the commissioner may take necessary or appropriate action to enforce this part in accordance with part 3 of this chapter.Added by 2021 Tenn.
