As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:(1) 'Association' means the Tennessee property and casualty insurance association; and(2) 'Insurance' means 'property insurance' as defined in § 56-2-201, and 'casualty insurance' as defined in § 56-2-201, except for: (A) Hazardous waste or environmental impairment insurance; and(B) Any kind of insurance that is available through the Tennessee automobile insurance plan or any other existing residual market mechanism as defined in chapter 5 of this title.Acts 1987, ch. 439, § 1.
