(a) No other provision of this title applies to a prepaid limited health service organization, unless a prepaid limited health service organization is specifically mentioned in the provision.(b) Except as provided in this chapter, this title does not apply to prepaid limited health service organizations certificated under this chapter. Any person, entity, or prepaid limited health service organization operating without a subsisting certificate of authority in violation of this chapter or rules adopted under this chapter, in addition to being subject to this chapter, is subject to the insurance code.(c) The department is vested with all powers granted to it under the insurance code with respect to the investigation of any violation of this chapter.Acts 2000, ch. 948, § 24.
