Section 56-7-2319 - Optional election of retirement conversion rights

In the event coverage would be continued under the group policy on an employee following retirement prior to the time the employee is or could be covered by medicare, the employee may elect, in lieu of the continuation of group insurance, to have the same conversion rights as would apply had the employee's insurance terminated at retirement by reason of termination of employment or membership.Acts 1980, ch. 537, § 1; 1992, ch. 984, § 1; T.C.A., § 56-7-1508.
