A health carrier or utilization review organization shall, at least annually, review its prior authorization requirements and consider removal of prior authorization where a prescription or medical service check is customary and properly indicated or is a treatment for the clinical indication as supported by peer-reviewed medical publications.Amended by 2023 Tenn.
