Section 57-9-103 - Officers to take into possession intoxicating liquors held or transported illegally

All sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and police officers of the state are hereby empowered and required to take into possession any intoxicating liquors, including wine, ale, and beer, which have been received by, or are in possession of, or are being transported by, any person in violation of any law of this state; provided, however, that the reference to 'sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and police officers' in this section also includes 'constables' in those counties of this state enumerated in § 57-9-101.Acts 1919, ch. 50, § 1; Shan.
