Section 58-1-202 - Organization and training - Laws and regulations of United States

The national guard shall be organized, armed, disciplined, governed, administered, and trained as prescribed by parts 1, 2 and 4-6 of this chapter and the regulations issued thereunder; provided, however, that the governor shall conform the organization of the national guard to the organization prescribed by the laws of the United States and the lawful regulations promulgated pursuant thereto. To that end, the governor is hereby authorized to organize, reorganize or disband any unit, headquarters or staff therein, to increase or decrease the number of commissioned officers, warrant officers and noncommissioned officers of any grade therein and to increase or decrease the strength of the national guard.Acts 1970, ch. 596, § 17; T.C.A., § 7-118.
