Section 58-1-222 - Contract and oath of enlistment

Every person who enlists or reenlists in the national guard shall sign an enlistment contract and shall take and subscribe to such oath or affirmation of enlistment as may be prescribed by the applicable laws of the United States and by regulations issued pursuant to parts 1, 2 and 4-6 of this chapter. Such oath shall be taken and subscribed before any officer of the national guard. A person making a false oath as to any statement contained in such enlistment contract shall, upon conviction, be deemed guilty of perjury.Acts 1970, ch. 596, § 41; T.C.A., § 7-138.
