Section 58-1-501 - Authority to acquire lands

The governor is authorized and empowered on behalf of the state to acquire by lease, purchase and condemnation under the laws of eminent domain, such land as the governor in times of emergency may deem necessary to provide adequate facilities for the protection and defense of the state and the nation.Acts 1941, ch. 2, § 1; mod.
