The council shall prescribe by ordinance appropriate procedures with respect to resignations of officers and employees and with respect to the orderly transfer of records, assets, and other effects in the custody of such officers and employees to their successors or supervisors.Acts 1957, ch. 238, § 7.31; T.C.A., § 6-3531.
