(a) The members of the board of education shall be nominated by petition and elected at the same time and places as provided in this charter for elections of the members of the city council, except that in the first election the manner of election shall be that provided in § 6-36-103.(b) The members of the board shall be subject to the provisions of this charter with regard to recall as provided in §§ 6-31-301 - 6-31-304.(c) Each candidate to the board or any person acting in the candidate's behalf shall be subject to § 6-31-108.Acts 1957, ch. 238, § 8.02; 1959, ch. 137, § 1; T.C.A., § 6-3602.
