The members of the board of education shall receive no compensation but may be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the conduct of their duties; provided, that such expenses are approved by the board at a regular meeting.Acts 1957, ch. 238, § 8.08; T.C.A., § 6-3608.
