All of the officers and employees of the city school system shall be subject to §§ 6-35-407 - 6-35-413 of this charter, with the school system standing in the stead of the city, with the board of education in the stead of the city council, board members in the stead of council members, chair in the stead of the mayor, and the director of schools in the stead of the city manager and the city clerk, and that on actions taken under this chapter, the rules and regulations of the board shall have the same force and effect as an ordinance of the city council.Acts 1957, ch. 238, § 8.11; T.C.A., § 6-3611.
