Section 62-6-107 - Executive director - Other staffing

(a) The board shall appoint an executive director to provide all administrative functions for the board. The compensation of the executive director shall be fixed by the board and the director shall serve at the pleasure of the board.(b) The board shall retain and establish the qualifications and compensation for investigators, inspectors, and other staff requiring professional qualifications. All members of the board's staff requiring professional qualifications shall serve at the pleasure of the board.(c) Any expenditure by the board under this section shall be subject to approval by the commissioner of finance and administration, pursuant to the board's annual budget submitted to the commissioner of commerce and insurance and approved by the commissioner of finance and administration.Amended by 2017 Tenn.
