(a) If any part, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this part is held or declared to be unconstitutional or void, it shall not affect the remaining part or parts of this part. It is hereby declared to be the legislative intent to have passed the remainder of the part, notwithstanding any part held to be invalid.(b) This part shall be deemed to be remedial in nature and shall be liberally construed to effect its purposes.Acts 1982, ch. 679, § 11.
