There is established the office of the chief executive officer of the authority. The first chief executive officer must be appointed by the governor. Thereafter, each subsequent chief executive officer must be appointed by the board. All chief executive officers serve at the pleasure of the board. For each chief executive officer, including the first chief executive officer, the board shall enter into a contract with the chief executive officer establishing the chief executive officer's salary. All reimbursement for the chief executive officer's travel expenses must be in accordance with the comprehensive travel regulations as promulgated by the department of finance and administration and approved by the attorney general and reporter.Added by 2021EX2 Tenn.
