All state agencies and practitioners of the healing arts, except those holding radium 226 therapeutic licenses, are exempt from the requirements of this part. The commissioner is authorized to exempt by rule, regulation, or order based upon such rule or regulation, other classes of specific licensees from the requirements of this part upon the commissioner's determination that such exemption will not result in a risk to the public health, safety or welfare.Acts 1976, ch. 475, § 12; T.C.A., §§ 53-3334, 68-23-412.
