Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, a municipality may exercise the power of eminent domain to establish a landfill for solid waste disposal outside its corporate boundaries only if the governing body of the area in which the landfill is to be located approves such action by a majority vote at two (2) consecutive, regularly scheduled meetings.Acts 1998, ch. 908, § 1.
