(a) As used in this section, 'minor' means any person who has not attained eighteen (18) years of age.(b) The department of health may seek a federal grant from the federal department of health and human services' health resources and services administration, or any other applicable entity, for the purpose of developing a training program for certified nurse practitioners in treating and processing a minor who is a victim of an offense described in § 39-13-504, § 39-13-505, § 39-13-506, § 39-13-509, § 39-13-518, § 39-13-522, § 39-13-527, § 39-13-531, or § 39-13-532. Participation in the training program must be free of charge for the certified nurse practitioner participants.Added by 2019 Tenn. Acts, ch. 275, s 1, eff. 4/30/2019.
