Tennessee Legal Code
(a) The department of health shall investigate reports of the amount of diagnoses of cancer and Parkinson's disease based on data currently available to the department of health.(b) Subsection (a) applies in counties having a population of not less than forty-four thousand one hundred (44,100) nor more than forty-four thousand two hundred (44,200), and in counties having a population of not less than one hundred thousand nine hundred (100,900) nor more than one hundred one thousand (101,000), according to the 2020 federal census or any subsequent federal census.(c) The department of health shall submit a report of its findings to the health and welfare committee of the senate and the health committee of the house of representatives no later than July 1, 2025.(d) The information reported pursuant to subsection (c) must be produced in accordance with applicable state and federal law to maintain the confidentiality of individually identifiable health information.Added by 2024 Tenn.
