The commissioner of health is authorized to create the Tennessee maternal mortality review program. The intent of the Tennessee maternal mortality review program is to identify and address the factors contributing to poor pregnancy outcomes for women and facilitate state systems changes to improve the health of women before, during and after pregnancy.Added by 2016 Tenn.
