The department of health is authorized and empowered to create and maintain a division of tuberculosis control, which shall provide effective measures for the diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure of tuberculosis.Acts 1971, ch. 210, § 2; 1977, ch. 145, § 1; T.C.A., § 53-1021.
