The commissioner of commerce and insurance shall promulgate rules setting forth departmental procedures for resolving disputes regarding the interpretation and application of building and construction safety standards adopted pursuant to § 68-120-101 that arise during the review of plans, a request for inspection of construction or renovation of an existing building, or the inspection of construction by the department. Any appeal of the ultimate decision of the department in such a dispute shall be made in accordance with the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, compiled in title 4, chapter 5, part 3, pertaining to contested cases.Amended by 2024 Tenn.
