The department of health is authorized to establish and maintain a system of poison control centers in Tennessee that:(1) Serves public and health care professionals in urban and rural areas;(2) Designates regions within the network; and(3) Designates regional poison control centers within the network.Acts 1991, ch. 393, § 2; T.C.A., § 68-43-101.
