Section 7-1-108 - Appointment of state officials to public utility boards

Notwithstanding any law, including any municipal or metropolitan charter to the contrary, the appropriate appointing authority may appoint at least one (1) elected state official to serve as a member of the board of any public utility operated by a municipality or metropolitan government. This section shall only apply to those counties having a metropolitan form of government.Acts 1981, ch. 292, §§ 1, 2.
