Section 7-31-104 - Establishment of streets in extension

When the limits of an incorporated municipality are enlarged by law, the mayor and board may establish such new streets, alleys, or parks as are deemed necessary by reason of the enlargement. When the improvement is made for its public utility, it shall be done at the expense of the corporation; but should improvement be done for individual convenience, the applicants shall pay the expenses.Code 1858, §§ 1386, 1387; Shan., §§ 1979, 1980; mod.
