Section 7-35-410 - Removal of commissioners

Any member of the board may be removed from office for cause, but only after preferment of formal charges and trial before a court of proper jurisdiction. Charges may be preferred by resolution of the governing body of the city or town by any member of the board, or by a petition signed by two percent (2%) or more, but no fewer than twenty-five (25) in number, of the owners of property served by the works.Acts 1933, ch. 68, § 19; C.
