(a)(1) Licenses and permits required under this and any other law relating to wildlife must be dated on the true date of issue. All annual sport licenses must be issued for the year beginning March 1 and ending the last day of February of the following year, both inclusive.(2) Notwithstanding subdivision (a)(1), the fish and wildlife commission is authorized to promulgate rules to abolish license years and establish an annual license system.(b) In addition to the annual licenses authorized by subsection (a), the agency is authorized to issue any hunting, fishing, or trapping license for periods exceeding one (1) year.Amended by 2021 Tenn.
