Section 70-4-406 - Liability for escape - Limitation of state's liability

(a) Any person who keeps Class I wildlife is liable for any costs incurred by any person, city, county or state agency resulting from the escape from captivity of the animal or animals.(b) Neither the state of Tennessee nor any agency, employee or agent of the state of Tennessee is liable for any animal that expires, is injured or is destroyed. Neither the state of Tennessee nor any agency, employee or agent of the state of Tennessee is liable for any damage or injury caused by live wildlife under a permit issued pursuant to this part.Acts 1991, ch. 487, § 1.
