Section 71-4-1112 - Assignment of benefits prohibited - Exemption from legal process

Assistance granted under this part shall not be transferable or assignable, at law or in equity, and none of the money paid or payable under this part shall be subject to execution, levy, attachment, garnishment or other legal process, or to the operation of any bankruptcy or insolvency law.Acts 1953, ch. 16, § 8 (Williams, § 4765.160); T.C.A.
