(a) A register is elected for each county by the qualified voters thereof, and holds the office for four (4) years, and until a successor is qualified.(b) If a vacancy shall occur in the office of register, the vacancy shall be filled as provided for in § 5-1-104(b).Code 1858, § 446 (deriv.
