Section 8-13-110 - Indictment of register for failure to perform duties - Civil liability

Upon failure to perform any official duties, the register may be indicted for a Class C misdemeanor and the register and the register's sureties shall be civilly responsible to any person injured by the failure.Code 1858, § 456; Acts 1871, ch. 85, § 2; Shan., § 570; mod.
