An online notary public:(1) Is a notary public for purposes of this chapter, is subject to this chapter, and must be appointed and commissioned as a notary public under this chapter;(2) May perform notarial acts as provided in part 1 of this chapter; and(3) May perform an online notarization, without regard to the physical location of the principal, if the notary is physically located in this state.Added by 2018 Tenn.
