The medical advisors shall arrange for and pass upon all medical examinations required under chapters 34-37 of this title, and shall investigate all essential statements and certificates by or on behalf of a member in connection with an application for disability retirement, and shall report in writing to the board of trustees their conclusions and recommendations upon all the matters referred to them.Acts 1972, ch. 814, § 6; T.C.A., § 8-3927; Acts 2009, ch. 142, §§ 4, 5.
