Should any change or errors in records result in any member or beneficiary receiving from the retirement system more or less than such member or beneficiary would have been entitled to receive had the records been correct, then on discovery of any such error the board shall correct the same and shall adjust the payments in such a manner that the benefits to which such member or beneficiary was correctly entitled shall be paid.Acts 1972, ch. 814, § 16; 1979, ch. 320, § 2; T.C.A., § 8-3946.
