Section 8-36-602 - Effective date of election

The election of an option shall become effective on the member's effective date of retirement in accordance with § 8-36-203 or § 8-36-303; provided, that written application is filed with the board of trustees and the member is eligible for service or early service retirement.Acts 1972, ch. 814, § 5; T.C.A., § 8-3917(b); Acts 1981, ch. 387, § 11.
