Section 8-36-607 - Death prior to retirement

For death benefit purposes, a member who dies prior to retirement shall be considered as having been retired on the date death occurs or on the date such member's annual leave is exhausted, whichever is later.Acts 1972, ch. 814, § 5; T.C.A., § 8-3917(b); Acts 1983, ch. 342, § 7; 2001, ch. 58, § 10.
