The sergeant at arms, or such other officer as may be appointed, shall be allowed the following fees:(1) For every arrest under process from the senate .................... $2.00(2) For each mile the sergeant or other appointed officer may travel in going to and returning from such arrest .................... $0.05(3) For executing each subpoena .................... $0.50(4) For each day the sergeant or other appointed officer may attend the senate on any such trial .................... $2.00Code 1858, § 5290 (deriv.
