Section 8-48-202 - Return from military service before expiration of term

Whenever any person holding a state or county office is inducted into the military service of the United States, such induction shall not operate to create a permanent vacancy in the office, but upon the return of the officer from the military service, such person shall be entitled to resume the duties of the office for the remainder of the term for which the officer was elected; provided, that it has not theretofore already expired.Acts 1943, ch. 4, § 1; C.
