Section 8-5-101 - Election - Term of office

There shall be a state treasurer, who shall be elected by the joint vote of both houses of the general assembly, and shall hold office for the term of two (2) years, and until a successor is elected and qualified.Code 1858, §§ 222, 812 (deriv.
