Section 9-8-406 - Representation of state - Negotiation of prehearing claim settlements

The attorney general and reporter shall represent the state in all claims before the commission; however, the attorney general and reporter may delegate to the department of the treasury or the governmental entity against which the claim is made the authority to negotiate prehearing claim settlements, and to represent the state in proceedings before the claims commission or any portion of that authority which the attorney general and reporter deems appropriate.Acts 1984, ch. 972, § 14.
