(a) The district may provide for the establishment of a hospital or hospital system to provide medical and hospital care to the district's needy residents.(b) The hospital system may include:(1) facilities and equipment for domiciliary care and treatment of sick, injured, or geriatric patients;(2) outpatient clinics;(3) convalescent home facilities;(4) physicians' offices; and(5) any other facilities or equipment the board considers necessary for hospital purposes.
