For any purpose permitted by applicable state law, the board may enter into an independent contract with:(1) a person licensed to practice medicine in this state;(2) a professional association that is organized under the Texas Professional Association Act (Article 1528f, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes); or(3) a nonprofit organization that is organized under and in compliance with Subchapter A, Chapter 162, Occupations Code.
