§ 1045.053

(a) To be eligible to be a candidate for an elected position or to serve as an elected or appointed director, a person must be:(1) a district resident; and(2) a qualified voter.(b) A person who is elected from a commissioner precinct or who is appointed to fill a vacancy for a commissioner precinct must be a resident of that commissioner precinct.(c) A district employee may not serve as a director.
