(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), at least 30 days before the date of an election of directors, the board shall publish notice of the election one time in a newspaper or newspapers that individually or collectively have general circulation in the district.(b) At least seven days before the date of a runoff election of directors, the board shall publish notice of the election one time in a newspaper or newspapers that individually or collectively have general circulation in the area of the runoff election.
